Dispatching from an iconic Colorado ultramarathon, The Dirty 30

Dispatch Radio co-founder Russ Rizzo takes us inside the Dirty 30, an iconic ultramarathon held each year outside of Golden, Colo.

If you’re on the fence about signing up before it sells out this week,  or if you’re already training and looking for some stoke, this is one for you.

Russ takes us inside the action of a particularly exciting race in 2016. We follow along as Chris Vargo attempts to break the course record and fellow Dispatcher Nick Brogna attempts to become a “sisu,” the name given to anyone who attempts the difficult race as their first ultra. Along the way, we meet course director Megan Finnesy and a cast of characters who help put on the race. Produced by Robyn Shipton.

For more information about the race, to sign up for one of the few spots left or to join as a volunteer, visit: http://dirty30.org/. There, you can also find out about the Double Dirty 30 taking place in Silverton, Colo., on Sept. 23.
